EditImpact privacy policy

EditImpact is a Shopify app made by Triple U Solutions ("we"). It records the changes made to your products and shows what happened to each product's sales afterwards. This policy explains what EditImpact reads from your store, what it keeps, and for how long.
What EditImpact reads from your store
- Products: titles, descriptions, prices, photo and collection membership, so it can tell when one changes.
- Orders: only the products, quantities and amounts on each order, added up per product per day. Nothing about the customer is read or kept.
- Your store's currency and time zone.
- Your plan: whether your store has an active EditImpact subscription (billed by Shopify).
EditImpact never changes anything in your store.
What we store
- Your store's Shopify domain and the access token Shopify issues to the app.
- For each product: its ID, title, description, price, and the IDs of its photos and collections.
- A list of the edits found (what changed, before and after, when) and edits you enter yourself.
- Units sold and revenue for each product on each day, and the cost of those units when you have set a cost per item in Shopify.
- Your settings.
We store no information about your customers and no individual orders.
How we use it
Only to run EditImpact for you. We don't sell or share your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Where it is kept
On our servers at DigitalOcean (New York, United States), on encrypted storage, with encrypted backups in DigitalOcean Spaces. Traffic to the app passes through Cloudflare. We get internal notifications in Slack that name your store's domain and events such as installs, never order or customer data. These providers process data only to host, protect and run the app.
Deleting your data
We can send you the data we keep about your store on request. When you uninstall EditImpact we delete your store's data straight away, and again when Shopify asks us to (48 hours after uninstalling). Backups that may still contain it expire within 30 days. To ask about or delete your data at any other time, email us.
Data processing agreement
Our data processing agreement sets out how we process data on your behalf, our security measures and our subprocessors.
